Indo-French Biomolecular NMR Winter School Successfully Concludes at IIT Guwahati
December 24, 2024, Guwahati: The Indo-French Biomolecular NMR Winter School, held from December 14–20, 2024, at IIT Guwahati, brought together over 120 participants and 16 distinguished speakers from leading global institutions for a week of cutting-edge discussions, learning, and collaboration in biomolecular NMR spectroscopy. The program featured more than 35 lectures, tutorial sessions, and hands-on training.
The workshop covered advanced NMR methodologies for biomolecular research, NMR basics and applications, drug discovery, and integrative structural biology. Highlights included workshops on isotopic labeling methods, cell-free protein expression, and NMR data acquisition and analysis.
Participants showcased their research through poster and oral sessions, with awards recognizing excellence, including two posters, two orals and two IFBNS Young Scientist Awards. The event also celebrated the confluence of science and tradition through cultural performances.
Indo-French Biomolecular NMR Winter School was organized by Prof. Himanshu Singh (Assistant Professor, Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati) and Dr. François-Xavier Theillet (CNRS, Université Paris-Cité) with generous funding support from CEFIPRA and DST, New Delhi, the initiative reaffirmed IIT Guwahati’s commitment to fostering global scientific collaboration and innovation.
