Experimental Condensed Matter Physics

Understanding the fundamental physics of materials in the form of bulk phase, thin-film, nanostructure and their technological applications are the main research goals of CMP experiment group. Cutting-edge research in the area of bio-materials/sensors, electronic/optoelectronics, energy storage, ferroelectrics, heusler alloy, magneto-dielectrics, magnetoelectric, multiferroic, magnetic recording media, piezoelectrics, semiconductors, spin-caloritronics, spintronics, and thin film/heterojunction solar cells are actively pursued in this group. Department of physics possesses advanced experimental facilities to understand the physics of materials at low/high temperature, light-matter interaction and material’s response under high frequency signal.
