<p>Dr. Atanu Bhuyan is an Assistant Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the School of Business, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He holds a PhD in Management with specialization in Operations and Decision Sciences from the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur. Prior to joining IIT Guwahati, he was associated with the Indian Institute of Management Jammu and Jindal Global Business School. He has prior professional experience as a design engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, along with research experience in government research organisations. His teaching interests include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Service Operations, Behavioral Operations, Business Statistics, and Business Research Methods. His research interests focus on analytical and quantitative approaches to decision making in operations and supply chains. He also works in service operations and behavioral operations. A part of his research engages with urban transportation, mobility, and planning. He has served as Programme Director for management development and faculty development programmes, including programmes on corporate governance and leadership. He has also led consultancy and training assignments in lean and process improvement for small and medium enterprises.</p>
