My research focuses on the very fundamental building blocks of the universe. The field of research known under the name of High Energy Physics deals with the dynamics of the elementary particles. The mechanism of Electroweak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB) is one of the least understood aspects of the particle physics today. With the recent discovery of the Higgs Boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), it is now confirmed that the Higgs mechanism proposed to understand the EWSB is the right direction. While it is established to a good degree of confidence that the newly discovered particle is indeed connected to the EWSB. But the details like the definite properties of this particle, including its CP-nature, its couplings with various particles, self-couplings, etc need to wait until more data is available, and in some cases, until a new and cleaner precision experiment comes up (remember that LHC is designed to be a discovery machine, not a place to perform precision measurements).
