Understanding cosmology is essentially related to understanding the dynamics of space-time itself. According to Einstein�s theory of General Relativity, the matter field or equivalently some form of energy governs this dynamics. However, Einstein�s theory does not tell us anything about the matter field distribution in our universe. This leads to the famous initial condition problem in cosmology. In the pursuit of understanding cosmology better,, our group works on various aspects of this problem such as building up models on inflation, bounce in the early universe cosmology, modeling the dark matter and dark energy and most importantly their observable effects on our present universe.
