With various clubs here guided by enthusiastic people, one can learn, innovate, build and own the future.

Coding Club

Want the power to change the world? Want to make something new and offer it to people around the world? Computers give you the power to do all of it and more. Programming in today's world is the closest thing there is to a superpower. We at the coding club encourage everyone to learn how to code. The Coding club is one of the most active clubs on campus. We regularly hold hackathons, competitive coding competitions and arrange various workshops by leading tech companies on campus. From Networking and Security to Game design and Open source softwares, our club is the best place to learn it all. The Coding Club also gives you the opportunity to work on projects under mentors who help you understand how state of the art systems work and how to implement them.

Equinox Club

You must have learnt about Galileo and his observation of Jupiter and it's moon. Well he did that in the 1600's and you being in the 21st century, have you seen Jupiter or it's moons yet? Don't worry if you haven't many of us do not get a chance to, that is why we are here. We have big powerful telescopes with 11" and 8" aperture through which we can see Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus and not only that, deep sky objects like The Great Orion Nebula and The Andromeda Galaxy. But we do a lot more that just observe them with our eyes. For starters, we capture them, yes, we have originally clicked and processed images of these objects. We are also taking baby steps in the modern fields of astronomy like Radio Astronomy, Spectroscopy and Astronomical Data Analysis. We also educate people about astronomy through means of observation sessions, Documentary screenings, Quizzes and workshops offline and Blog, Videos and Antriksh Gyan online. And yes don't miss our big event HORIZON - The Astronomy Day.

Robotics club

Our world is transforming towards a future where automation is a necessity. This demand of better and intelligent machines gives rise to robots. It is a field where all the three realms of Electronics, Mechanics and Programming unite to give life to an intelligent machine. From a self driving car to a tennis playing robot or even a Human-like robot, all of it comes to reality at Robotics Club. We try to learn this novel art of Robotics by working on all the aspects of a robot.

FINANCE AND ECONOMICS CLUB

"Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, we love money." Its a basic fact that we all love money! Being in an engineering college its very hard to find a community interested in science of "Money". We at Finance & Economics Club (FEC) creates an environment for all finance and economics enthusiasts.

We not only study the concepts of finance & economics but also love to discuss related movies, short-movies and even study famous scams for that matter. We are always ready to teach and study F&E because we believe that all of us are in learning phase and tend to improve daily. The club welcomes you all with one thought "We live by the Golden Rule. Those who have the gold make the rules."

Consulting and analytics club

Conventional wisdom can be deceptive. But one thing can never be - Data! If you know to harness its power, data can reveal any kind of truth. In this huge, ever-changing fast world, data has become an indispensable tool to find insights and trends in almost every field - From Business to Biology. This idea forms the very basis of our club. We learn modern methods to analyse data and find the actual problem at the root level. We strive to be extremely analytical in our thinking.Our club members have won a number of business case competitions, national and international.

Prakriti Club

If you care about the mother nature or even if you love animals.We are here for you. Prakriti is The Techno-Environment Club of IIT Guwahati .The club aims to instill and promote the feeling of living in harmony with nature.Our values are centered around cherishing and conserving the bounty bestowed upon us by mother nature.

Automobile Club

The Automobile Club of IIT Guwahati comprises of a group of hardworking individuals who share a common passion-automobiles. Our love for the latest technologies and innovations in the realm of automobiles drives us to endeavour to take up challenging projects which include designing and fabricating vehicles of our own. We take part in several competitions like SUPRA SAE, SAE Efficycle. Our love for Automobiles also drives us to spread this knowledge and help ignite this passion in others. We organise lectures on Automobiles and their various sub-systems and fields such as Controls and automation. We also hold workshops to teach softwares such as Solidworks.

Electronics club

Today we are living in a world where our life without electronic gadgets is inconceivable. We at Electronics Club innovate and try to solve real life challenges, be it helping the elderly and disabled or designing our own custom microcontroller. We explore intriguing fields including but not limited to Smart IoT Devices, Communication Systems, Embedded Devices and Programming, Machine vision/intelligence and Power Electronics. Under the guidance of amazing professors and mentors having expertise in various fields, we have built incredible future-ready prototypes.

Entrepreneurial Development Cell

Who doesn’t dream of becoming the next Steve Jobs or the next Mark Zuckerberg. We at Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) believe that original and innovative ideas having the potential to change the status quo by creating value, are formed in young minds. Moulding these ideas into successful ventures and tapping the entrepreneurial talent of such young minds stands as the prime motive for us. We have created creating an elaborate network consisting of mentors, venture capitalists, incubators, corporate and industry experts which can be of great help to budding entrepreneurs. Also every year we organise an e-summit, Udgam, which brings together all the budding entrepreneurs of the entire North-East.

Aeromodelling club

Want to fly a drone? Why not build your own and then fly it? We at Aeromodelling club prototype electronics, machine parts, write code to build Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for manually-controlled and autonomous flight in indoor and outdoor environments. From designing and assembling the frame, to mounting motors and ESCs, to wiring sensors and electronics, tuning quadcopters and flight testing. Using open source software frameworks and hardware architecture for robot development, we work on the sophisticated aspects of the aerial vehicle, such as flight simulations, mapping of an unknown environment and autonomous mission planning. We encourage flying enthusiast by providing resources, learning materials to work on their own feasible ideas.

Quiz club

Quiz Club has been one of the most successful and active clubs in the North East region. Regular finalist and winners of quizzes like Tata Crucible and various Assam Quiz Association quizzes, the Quiz Club of IITG has been making waves in the north east quizzing circuit. Quiz Club is currently composed of passionate knowledge seeking individuals specializing in different genres like Movies, Sports, India etc. Quiz Club regularly hosts quizzes across the year like General Quiz, India Quiz, Sports quiz etc and also on popular topics like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, F.R.I.E.N.D.S etc.
