Map Showing Spatial Variations in Precipitation in Selected District of North-East India

Spatial variation of rainfall is quite high in North-Eastern part of india primarily because of orographic influence. Though one can obtain grided data from IMD, it is difficult to capture such variation with limited rainfall data. To capture such variation, climatic data from Tea Gardens of these region were collected. Variation thus obtained are presented in 0.1 degree grid for selected districts of Assam. IMD grided data, resampled to same grid size are also present. (Further correction is going on, a trial run for Golaghat District is presented)
