21-25 Nov 2022	Regional Children's Science Congress - 2022 100 selected students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from the entire N.E. Region participated in the Regional Children's Science Congress-2022 held at IIT Guwahati. The inaugural function was graced by Prof. S.K. Kakoty, Dy. Director, IIT Guwahati as Chief Guest, and Mr. Gunamani Das, Dy. Registrar, IIT Guwahati and Mr. Aditya Prakash Singh, Asstt. Commissioner as Guests of Honour. The Congress also included visit of students to Central Instruments Facility, IIT Guwahati and to Regional Science Centre, Khanapara and Guwahati Planetarium. The Congress concluded with a Valedictory Function with Prof. P.K. Iyer, Dean, Public Relations Branding & Ranking as Chief Guest.
10-14 Oct 2022	5 Days Residential Science Teachers Training The first phase of '5 Days Residential Science Teachers Training' program was organised at IIT Guwahati in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Assam. Around 200 teachers participated in the in-house training programme. Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Hon'ble Minister of Education, Govt. of Assam attended the Valedictory Function held on 14th October, 2022 and handed over the certificates to the participants.
23 Sep 2022	SSB sponsored educational tour programme 24 Bn SSB, Rangia organised an excursion cum study tour for 30 girl students from bordering villages of Tamulpur and Udalguri districts. As part of the tour program the team visited IITG and the students had an interactive session with Deputy Director, Dean(OEP), and DR(OEP) of IITG.
07-09 Sep 2022	State Meet of Aryabhatta Science Centre organised by Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC) Selected students from different development blocks of 34 districts of Assam participated in the state-level program which had in its schedule different competitions and exhibitions like speech competition, poster drawing competition, S&T model making competition cum exhibition, idea competition, etc. Some of the learned professors of IITG judged the competitions. Inaugural function of the program was attended by many dignitaries including Sjt. Keshab Mahanta, Hon'ble Minister of Science Technology and Climate Change Dept, Govt. of Assam and Smt. Laya Madduri, IAS, Sec'y to Govt. of Assam, Science Technology and Climate Change Dept, Govt. of Assam.
