Call for Best PhD Thesis Award 2025
The department announces the call for applications for the Best PhD Thesis Award for the year 2025. The award will be presented to the selected candidate during the 27th convocation of the institute to be held on 13 July 2025, Sunday (as per the academic calendar).
The students who have completed all graduating requirements of the degree after 15 June 2024 and completed all graduating requirements of the degree by 15 June 2025 are eligible to apply. You are required to submit the application by 20 June 2025 using the online link
The selection will involve a two-stage process: (i) Screening and Shortlisting of the applications, and (ii) Final Selection based on thesis presentation.
The interested candidate is requested to submit the
- Completed Application and Self-assessment (Annexure-I) forms (pdf format)
- PhD thesis (pdf format)
- Two best papers from the PhD thesis (pdf format) and
- Thesis review reports by national and foreign referees.

After receiving the applications, the department will directly contact the thesis advisor and DC chairman of the respective student for further information. The students are advised to follow up with their thesis advisor(s) and the DC Chairman so that their feedback is submitted on time. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their thesis work before the selection committee via video conferencing. The date and time for the online presentation will be intimidated in due course of time. Date and Time are as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
