The Office of Alumni, Corporate and International Relations (ACIR) serves as a key interface between IIT Guwahati and its alumni, corporate partners, government agencies, academic institutions, and international organizations. The Office is committed to strengthening relationships, facilitating meaningful engagements, and promoting academic, industrial, research, and institutional collaborations at the national and international levels.
We work to:
- Strengthen external relations: Facilitate and coordinate interactions with government ministries, embassies, academic institutions, industries, and other external organizations in matters related to collaborations, partnerships, and MoUs.
- Facilitate academic and research collaborations: Support faculty, students, and researchers of IIT Guwahati in establishing and pursuing academic, research, training, and professional engagements with partner institutions and organizations.
- Support international mobility: Provide necessary assistance to IIT Guwahati students, faculty, and researchers undertaking academic, research, exchange, internship, or professional visits to partner institutions and organizations in India and abroad.
- Facilitate visits to IIT Guwahati: Extend appropriate support to foreign students, visiting faculty, scholars, researchers, exchange students, interns, and other international visitors during their stay at the Institute.
- Coordinate conferences and institutional events: Assist in the planning and coordination of national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, and other academic and institutional programmes.
- Strengthen institutional partnerships: Facilitate the development, implementation, and effective coordination of MoUs, collaborative agreements, exchange programmes, and strategic partnerships with national and international institutions and organizations.
- Support the Institute's external engagement: Assist the Institute in matters concerning national and international relations and contribute towards building IIT Guwahati's global academic, research, corporate, and institutional network.
- Engage with alumni and corporate partners: Foster meaningful and sustained engagement with the Institute's alumni and corporate stakeholders to promote mentorship, knowledge exchange, philanthropy, innovation, entrepreneurship, internships, placements, and collaborative initiatives.
