Any mechanical development is not possible without understanding the principles of fluid flow and heat transfer. This is very crucial in aerospace and automobile applications. PG students from this specialization work on the broad range of topics such as multiphase flow, IC engines, Computational fluid dynamics, Heat transfer, Combustion etc. Core courses in this specialization include Advanced engineering mathematics, Fluid mechanics, Advanced Thermodynamics, Convective heat and mass transfer. Also, students have to choose elective courses for each semester according to their interest. The past Thermal and Fluids students were able to get placed in companies like Mercedes Benz, Robert Bosch, Siemens, etc.
