Prakriti Club bridges technology and environment. We undertake cutting-edge technical projects โ from Aquaponics to AI-driven biodiversity โ alongside socio-environmental initiatives like mega plantation drives, bird watching, and waste management awareness. Join us to create a sustainable tomorrow.
Prakriti Club comes under the Technical Board of Student Gymkhana, IIT Guwahati. As the 2nd oldest club of the institute, we transcend traditional boundaries between technology and environment. Our mission: to deliver impactful solutions to environmental challenges via innovative, tech-driven projects and grassroots socio-environmental awareness.
From Aquaponics featured in The Times of India to Dual Axis Solar Tracker, Tree Leaf Data Bank using ML, and Smart Surveillance Plantation Bot โ we blend engineering with ecology. Our socio wing organizes plantation drives, PETA movie screenings, birdwatching sessions, and campus cleanup drives. We also organize Avinya Hackathon in collaboration with Techniche, IIT Guwahati, fostering innovation for sustainability.
Annual Independence Day tradition. Students, faculty, and Director planted 163+ saplings across campus. Making IITG greener every year.
Collaboration with PETA India: documentary on animal rights + interactive session. Raising ethical awareness on campus.
Flanked by Brahmaputra and lush forests, our campus hosts rich avian biodiversity. Prakriti organizes guided birdwatches.
Regular clean-up drives and segregation awareness. Promoting zero-waste lifestyle and protecting the scenic lakes of IITG.
Symbiotic integration of aquaculture & hydroponics. Recognized by Times of India. Sustainable food production model.
#SustainableAgriAndroid app + image processing + ML to identify tree species, medicinal uses, and geolocation. Digitizing campus flora.
#MachineLearning#BiodiversityLDR-based dual-axis tracker maximizing solar panel efficiency by keeping panels perpendicular to sun year-round.
Automated small-scale plantation bot with surveillance capabilities. Next-gen precision farming for urban spaces.
Nutrient film technique and inert substrates for soilless cultivation. High yield with minimal water footprint.
