Workshop Overview and Objective

The overall scenario of higher education in India does not match with the global quality standards. With the unprecedented growth of institutions in the past 2 decades across the nation, there is a significant shortage of qualified and motivated faculty. The most important resource that any higher education institution is its faculty. They share knowledge and teach necessary skills needed for the students to face future challenges. Conventional forms of teaching and assessment techniques will not be sufficient to cop up with ever changing modern education. Faculty should be equipped with new challenges associated with modern teaching and learning. Faculty training and pedagogy sessions provides a platform for improving teaching learning outcomes. Technology-based teaching and discussion forums are essential tools that can improve student-to-teacher interaction. This workshop brings faculty teaching in various technical institutes in North East India under one umbrella and share the best practices in teaching and learning. The program is intended to faculty in various engineering disciplines.
