Dr. Aariya Sen is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati since December 2025. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Madras Christian College, Chennai, and her Master’s degree in Economics from the Central University of Kerala. She subsequently pursued her PhD in Management at the Economics Area of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Dr. Aariya is also the recipient of the prestigious Reserve Bank of India Scholarship for Faculty Members for the year 2024. Dr. Aariya’s teaching and research interests include Macroeconomics, Open Economy Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy and Applied Time Series Analysis. Prior to joining the SoB, IIT Guwahati, Aariya was an Assistant Professor in Madras School of Economics, Chennai.
