• Prof. Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum became the fellow of IET journal.
• A GIAN course on "Empirical Mode Decomposition and its Applications" was held from October 23-27, 2017. Expert speakers from abroad were invited for this event.
• Prof. Rohit Sinha became the new Head of EEE Department. RSF-EEE would also like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing HOD Prof. Chitralekha Mahanta for her support and services.
• Dr. Tony Jacob became the new Chairman of Hostel Affairs Board, IIT Guwahati.
• Recently 3 research scholars from our department, Ms. Shikha Baghel, Ms. Moakala Tzudir and Ms. Saswati Rabha went for a conference, TENCON-2017 in Penang, Malaysia.
• Mr. Darpan Mishra (research scholar in photonics) went to China for a conference while our new DPPC-PhD representative Mr. Vivek Venugopal went to Japan for his conference trip.
