About

Dr. Sur is an Associate Professor at Dept. of CSE, IIT Guwahati. His research is mainly focused on Deep Learning approaches to solve different Computer Vision problems like image, video restoration, under water vision, super-resolution, satellite image segmentation, image translation, image steganalysis, zero shot learning, active learning, adversarial perturbation, human gait analysis, detection for Osteoarthritis from X-ray images and different ML based approaches for adaptive video streaming in 5G environment. Dr. Sur has founded a research project lab named "Multimedia Lab" in Dept. of CSE on 2012. Currently, eight research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. work under his guidance (as supervisor / co-supervisor), and six students have already graduated. Dr. Sur has coauthored 30 top tier journal papers and 50 conference papers in different premier forums.
