Dr. Ashish Kumar Chowdhury

Dr. Chowdhary received the B.Tech. degree from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India, in 2015. He worked in the telecom industry as a Solution Integration engineer with Ericsson India Global Services Pvt. Ltd. from 2015-2017. He joined Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India, in 2017, as a dual degree (MS + Ph.D.) research scholar in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and graduated on Jun-2022 with Best Thesis Award.

Research areas: Development of smart optical devices and energy harvesting using plasmonic metamaterial absorber.

Dr. Tanmay Bhowmik

Research Scholar

Current Affiliation: Post-Doctoral Fellow (NTU Singapore)

Dr. Bhowmik received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Tripura Institute of Technology, Agartala, India, in 2013 and the M. Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India, in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Project Associate in the Photonics Research Group at Electrical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Since 2018, he is a full-time Ph.D. Scholar in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India.

Research areas: Development of electrotunable metamaterials and metadevices for optical modulation using epsilon-near-zero materials.

Miss. Shreya Kesari

Assistant Engineer

Current Affiliation: NTPC, Delhi.

Shreya Keshari is an Electronics Engineer who completed her BTech in Electronics Engineering (2017-2021) from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and pursued MTech in Microelectronics RF and Photonics (2023-2025) at IIT Guwahati. She actively contributed as a Training and Placement Cell Representative and a Coordinator at the Society of Exploration and Innovation during her academic years. She completed her part-time MTech in 2026 January and is presently working as an Assistant Engineer at NTPC, applying her technical expertise in the energy sector.

Mr. Taraka Sriram

Analog Design Engineer

Taraka Sriram received his B.Tech from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering (A), Visakhapatnam in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2021. From 2022 July, he started his masters journey in Microelectronics, RF and Photonics in EEE department IIT Guwahati.

Bodhan received his B.Tech Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2020 from the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, University of Calcutta. He completed his M.Tech with specialization in RF & Photonics from EEE Department of IIT Guwahati in July 2023.

Dr. Priyanka Das

Dr. Priyanka received her B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata and M. Tech in RF and Microwave Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, India. She completed her doctoral research at the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, India in 2022. Her research areas include microstrip antenna design, RF passive circuit design, metamaterials and frequency selective Surfaces. From March 2022 to Dec 2022, she was working in a project at IIT Guwahati under the mentorship of Dr. Debabrata Sikdar.

Mr. Bappaditya Shome

Bappaditya recieved his B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020 from Siliguri Institute of Technology, West Bengal. From June 2021 to June 2022, he was working as a JRF(GATE) for the sponsored project entitled iDT-NaPaMeGs: Inverse design tool for nanoparticle meta-grid based photonic devices using computational electromagnetics and deep learning.

Mr. Gulshan Kumar

Revenue Officer

Current Affiliation: Revenue Department, Patna

Gulshan obtained his B.Tech and M.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan. He began his career as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. There, he contributed to the project titled Next Generation Wireless Research and Standardization on 5G and Beyond within the Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management. Following this, he worked at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, as a Junior Research Fellow on the project 6G: THz Test Bed with OAM. Currently, Gulshan served as an Associate Project Engineer on a project focused on the Development of Thin Flexible Metamaterials as Add-ons to MRI Scanners for Enhancing MRI Efficiency, Affordability, and Accessibility.

Research area: 5G millimeter-wave technology, Terahertz communication, Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) and Substrate Integrated Circuit Line (SICL) antennas, and Planar Horn antennas.
