The Open Source Intelligence Group at IIT Guwahati is a group consisting of Faculty Members, PhD Scholars, MTech & BTech Students, and Project Engineers, who work together on processing publicly available resources to derive intelligence. Our main research directions include Topic Modeling, Event Detection, Sentiment Analysis, Text to Speech Synthesis, and Social Network Analysis.

We are currently working on multimodal broadcast analysis from news data, text to speech synthesis of Manipuri language, counter-terrorism and homeland security using social network analysis, opinion coherence of Indian politicians and journalists using Twitter sentiment analysis.
