Software – Robotics

LPA Prolog

LPA’s compilers for the Prolog language are widely respected as among the best available for Windows, DOS and the Mac, and form the foundation of all our products. Integrating closely with their respective host operating systems, and with rich GUI development environments and an extensive library of LPA Toolkits, these products provide an ideal platform in which to implement smart applications for the desktop.

LabVIEW

LabVIEW is a graphical programming environment used by millions of engineers and scientists to develop sophisticated measurement, test, and control systems using intuitive graphical icons and wires that resemble a flowchart. It offers unrivaled integration with thousands of hardware devices and provides hundreds of built-in libraries for advanced analysis and data visualization – all for creating virtual instrumentation. The LabVIEW platform is scalable across multiple targets and OSs, and, since its introduction in 1986, it has become an industry leader.

LEJOS

leJOS (pronounced like the Spanish word “lejos” for “far”) is a tiny Java Virtual Machine. In 2006 it was ported to the LEGO NXT brick. leJOS NXJ includes all the classes in the NXJ API as well as the tools used to upload code to the NXT brick.

leJOS NXJ offers the following:

  • Object oriented language (Java)
  • Preemptive threads (tasks)
  • Arrays, including multi-dimensional
  • Recursion
  • Synchronization
  • Exceptions
  • Java types including float, long, and String
  • Most of the java.lang, java.util and java.io classes
