Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum is a Professor of EEE at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He received the BTech degree in EE from the IIT Bombay in Aug. 2000 and the Ph.D. degree from the School of EEE, Nanyang Technological University Singapore in June 2005. From Aug. 2000 to July 2001, he worked as a Software Engineer with the Mphasis Pune. Following his PhD thesis submission in Aug. 2004, he did Postdoctoral research from the department of ECE, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore during Oct. 2004 - Feb. 2005 and the department of EE, Pennsylvania State University USA from May-July 2005. He joined the department of EEE, IIT Guwahati as a faculty member in Sept. 2005. His research areas are in the analysis and design of printed antennas/arrays, synthesis and design of passive microstrip circuits/devices and spatial modulation based MIMO/optical wireless communications. He has authored or co-authored 3 books and over 100 international journal and conference papers in the areas of his research interests. Prof. Kshetrimayum is on the Editorial Board of multiple international journals such as Associate Editor of the IET Journal of Engineering. He has served in the committees of several IEEE conferences in various capacities including TPC Co-chair of IEEE AEMC 2015. He is the recipient of several awards including IEEE ANTS 2017 Best Paper Award (Third Prize). He is a Fellow of the IET (UK) and a Senior Member of the IEEE (USA).
