Research Scholar
Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF) at Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati.
Hello! I'm Harish Kumar, I am a full-time research scholar working under Dr. Selvaraju Narayanasamy at the Biochemical and Environmental Engineering Lab, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.
My primary research goal is to develop effective treatment strategies for eliminating pollutants from water.
I am focused on synthesizing Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and enhancing their performance through bio-inspired post-synthetic modifications to adsorb contaminants from water. Additionally, I am optimizing these processes to improve pollutant adsorption.
I will conduct toxicity analyses of both the pollutants and the treated water to assess the molecular changes occurring in living systems and to evaluate the eco-friendliness of the treatment systems.
I also have a keen interest in designing graphical abstracts and scientific illustrations using graphic design software, aiming to make scientific knowledge more accessible to the public.
Courses learned: Enzymology, Quantitative biology, Stem cells Cancer & therapy,
