Research Scholar
Prime Minister's Research Fellow (PMRF) at Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati.
Hello there! I'm Harish Kumar, research scholar from Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.
My primary aim of research is to develop effective treatment strategies to eliminate pollutants from water matrix.
The research work I'm conducting focuses on synthesis of Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their catalytic post synthetic modifications
to enhance their performance towards pollutant adsorption.
Toxicity analysis of the pollutant as well as the treated water will be checked to assess the eco-friendlyness of the treatment system.
My interest also encompasses designing graphical abstract and scientific illustrations using graphic designing softwares to make science reachable to public society in an effective way.
I'm a full time research scholar working under Dr. Selvaraju Narayanasamy at Biochemical and Environmental engineering Lab.
Courses learned: Enzymology, Quantitative biology, Stem cells Cancer & therapy,
Physical cell biology, Bioprocess engineering, Biofuels, Research methodology
CPI: 8.91
Completed B.Tech in Biotechnology from Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Tamil Nadu.
My B.Tech project was on Electrochemical degradation of antibiotics & its optimization and mathematical modelling.
I'm a gold medal recipient during my first year of study and also a finalist of fujio cup quiz competeition, NCRM Niche, Japan.
CGPA: 8.52
