About Us

The members of the club strive to hone their skills in Table Tennis through daily practice.Besides, we motivate and help new players to learn the game.

-Table Tennis is like an atom. To the ignorant it is merely microscopic and insignificant in existence, but to the dedicated, it is intricate in design and the building block to everything we know.

FACILITIES

Presently, the club has a total of six STAG INTERNATIONAL 1000DX tables.In addition to this,the floor is well furnished with ger flooring and perfectly spaced lights are an add-on.

Interested students can join the club to learn “How to play Table Tennis” and they can also get TT balls for playing issued at the security desk by submitting one’s ID card.

PAST EVENTS

• Inter IIT: The primary goal of every sports club of the IIT (annual event).
• Table Tennis Spardha: Inter hostel competition (annual event)
• Summer Camp (Training for Table Tennis under guidance of coaches)
• Spirit: Inter college competition (annual event)
• Friendly Matches : Held at regular intervals against the local teams and clubs.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Girls team Winners: Inter IIT Sports Meet 2013 (Guwahati)
• Girls team Winners: Inter IIT Sports Meet 2012 (Roorkee)
• Runners up (boys): Bronze in the Inter IIT Sports Meet held at IIT Delhi in the year 2010
• 4th position (boys): Inter IIT Sports Meet 2013 (Guwahati)
• Consistent winner of the SPIRIT Tournament (Inter College Sports Meet at IIT Guwahati ) from last 3 years.
• Girls team : Consecutively 3 times Gold medal winner
• Girls team Winners: Inter IIT Sports Meet 2014 (Bombay)
