A capacity-building program on “Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) Kit and Their Distribution” was successfully conducted on 25 April 2026 at KVK Sonitpur by IIT Guwahati in collaboration with ICAR-ATARI, Zone VI. The program brought together farmers from 36 blocks across six districts, along with Subject Matter Specialists from multiple KVKs, fostering knowledge exchange and practical learning.
With the presence of distinguished officials and scientists, the training focused on hands-on methods for rapid estimation of soil organic carbon - an essential indicator of soil health and climate-resilient agriculture. The initiative concluded with a shared commitment to advancing sustainable soil management and strengthening long-term agricultural resilience through improved carbon stewardship.
