Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), the only State Technical University was established by the Government of Assam in 2010 under the Assam Science and Technology University Act 2009. At present all the Engineering and Pharmaceutical colleges/institutes in the state of Assam are affiliated under ASTU along with some of the Science and Management colleges.
