Research Scholars Forum (RSF), Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), IIT Guwahati, organized a Fresher’s Welcome Event on 24 August 2026 to warmly welcome the newly admitted PhD scholars of the January 2026 and July 2026 batches. The event was attended by 41 newly inducted PhD scholars.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Sukanya Deka, Chief Executive of the Forum (CEF), followed by an introduction to the RSF EEE team, its activities, and its objectives. The gathering provided the newly inducted scholars with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Forum and learn about its role in fostering interaction and collaboration among research scholars within the department.

The formal introductions were followed by a friendly and engaging get together featuring conversations and interactive activities.

The RSF EEE team sincerely acknowledges the support and encouragement of the Faculty Advisor, Dr. Debabrata Sikdar, in organizing the event. The RSF EEE team also express gratitude to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, IIT Guwahati, for its support and cooperation.

The Fresher’s Welcome Event served as a memorable beginning to the new scholars’ journey in the department, offering them a platform to meet fellow researchers, connect with current RSF members, and start building relationships that will enrich their academic and research experience at IIT Guwahati.
