Invited Technical Talk by Dr. Mukesh Jewariya
Title: Terahertz Computed Tomography and its Prospectus
Date: 2 July 2026
Event Highlight: Bringing great minds and curious researchers together!
As part of its commitment to promoting research excellence and academic engagement, the Research Scholars' Forum (RSF) EEE, in collaboration with the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Chapter and the IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapter, IIT Guwahati, marked the beginning of its activities for the 2026–27 session with an invited technical talk titled “Terahertz Computed Tomography and its Prospectus” on 2 July 2026.
The technical talk was delivered by Dr. Mukesh Jewariya, Principal Scientist, National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi. He introduced the fundamentals of Terahertz Computed Tomography (THz-CT) and discussed recent developments in high intensity broadband terahertz pulse generation using nonlinear optical techniques.
The session witnessed the participation of research scholars, students, and faculty members, providing an excellent platform for academic interaction and discussion. Participants had the opportunity to engage with the speaker, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into recent technological developments, emerging research trends, and future directions in terahertz science and engineering.
The event successfully set the tone for the academic activities of the session and strengthened the spirit of collaborative research within the EEE community at IIT Guwahati.
