Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Sciences/Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% of marks, which is as per the Institute rules.

Or

A candidate having a Two-year Master's degree (after completion of 4-year Bachelor's degree) in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy or three-year Master's degree (after completion of 3-year Bachelor's degree) in Sciences in a relevant area with minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 or 60% of marks.

Or

A candidate with a Two-year M.Sc degree (after completion of 3-year Bachelor's degree) in a relevant area with minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% marks.

Or

MBBS/BVSc & AH/MD/MS/MVSc degree with a minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% marks.

Or

5-yr integrated Master’s in Sciences/Engineering/Technology with a minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% marks.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Applicants who have qualified both GATE and CSIR/UGC-JRF are eligible to apply in REGULAR as well as CSIR/UGC Special Scheme. Two separate applications (one for REGULAR and another for CSIR/UGC scheme) should be submitted for consideration in both the categories.

Interview dates: Interviews will be held in offline mode only from 19th May to 22nd May, 2026.
