Experience in Setting up of Teaching and Research Laboratory

 

1.      Setting up of various experimental set-ups in the Hydraulic and Water Resources laboratory of IIT-Guwahati. Apart from conventional experimental setup, these include large size tilting flume, Hydrology apparatus having rainfall simulator, turbines and pumps of different types.

2.      Setting up of Survey and Geoinformatics Laboratory in IIT Guwahati.

3.      Fabrication and Setting up of tilting flume with re circulating arrangement for conducting various experiments of Open Channel Flow (For the Water Resources and Environmental Management course in the Lalit Ch. Bharali college).

4.      Developed a laboratory set-up in the Hydraulic Laboratory of Assam Engineering College for conducting experiments on Two Dimensional flow that propagates through an opening in the river dike.

  • Author of a topic “ ABHIJANTRIC VIGYAN (Engineering Science)” in the ASHAMIA BISHYAKOSH (Assamese Encyclopedia) published by ASHAM SHAHITYA SHABHA (Assam Literary Society)
  • Author of a booklet “BHUMI” published by ASTEC (Assam Science Technology and Environment Council) in connection with Children Science Congress
  • Approved Lyrist of ALL INDIA RADIO and composer of the Anthem for National Children Science Congress, and many other songs and Musical Features on scientific issues like awareness campaigning for wetland conservation, landslide mitigation etc. 
  • Composed Patriotic song in Hindi Language for PPC programme of DURDARSAN.
  • Written a radio drama on soil erosion for a DST (department of Science and Technology, India) sponsored Radio Program BIPANNA BASHUDHA (Distressed Earth) and two dramas on water pollution and water resources utilization for a DST and ASTEC sponsored Radio Programme XEUJI DHARANI DHUNIA (Beautiful Green Earth)
  • Written two books of lyrics in Assamese language “SURAR NIJARA BICHARI” and “AKONIR MOU MAT”.
