Brief career profile
Paresh Chandra Deka is a professor in Water Resources under the department of water resources and Ocean Engg. at NITK,INDIA, has over 30 years’ teaching, research and outreach experience. His current research has a particular focus on: Hydrological modelling ; Application of Artificial Intelligence in water management; He is engaged in communities, governments and other stakeholders to address local and regional water issues. He was faculty in Arbaminch University, Ethiopia and visiting faculty at AIT, Bangkok. He has supervised 16 Phd scholars so far.He has more than 80 publications to his name, including 5 books,5 book chapters published by CRC press,Lap Lambert,Springer and over 50 articles in peer-reviewed, international journals and led several major externally funded research projects.
