WISP 2013

Call for Participation

Most data collected and stored in machines is of audio and video type. Indexing and retrieval of this data poses several signal processing challenges. Progress in processing image and speech data will have tremendous impact on the applications of information technology. It is in this context the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai and the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) jointly organized the first WISP in 2006 at IIT Madras. The previous workshops WISP-2007, WISP-2008, WISP-2009, WISP-2010, WISP-2011 and WISP-2012 were organized by the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, the IIT Guwahati and the C. R. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS), Hyderabad. WISP-2013 is being organized jointly by IIT Guwahati and Centre of Excellence in Signal Processing (CESP), IIIT Hyderabad on 13th and 14th December 2013 at IIT Guwahati. The objective of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, scientists and engineers to interact with leading researchers in communication, speech, biometrics, phonetics, image and signal processing areas. The workshop includes invited talks from experts in these and related areas from India and abroad. Researchers in academic, government and industrial organizations are encouraged to participate in the workshop. Early registration is recommended due to limit on the number of participants.

• Payment is either through Demand Draft (DD) or National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT).
