Sukanta Pati

Myself:

I did my PhD from Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, during 1994-99.

I did my postdoc at the Department of Mathematics, University of Regina, Canda, from Sept 1999 to April 2001.

I joined the Department of Mathematics, IIT Guwahati, INDIA , in June 2001. Currently I serve as a professor.

I was a visiting fellow at the Department of Mathematics, University of Connecticut, Storrs, June-Aug 2006.

Reserach area:

Broad area `Combinatorial Matrix Theorey’ and more specifically `Spectral Graph Theory’. A list of my publications can be found here.

Sasmita Barik, Ph.D. 2007, IIT Guwahati, Thesis: On the Spectra and the Laplacian Spectra of Graphs. Currently she is a faculty at IIT Bhubaneswar. She is also an associate editor of SIAM Undergraduate Research Online (SIURO), 2021-23.

Debajit Kalita, Ph.D. 2012, IIT Guwahati, Thesis: Spectra of Weighted Directed Graphs. Currently, he is a faculty at Tezpur Central University, Assam, India.

Swarup K. Panda, Ph.D. 2016, IIT Guwahati, Thesis: On the Inverse of Bipartite Graphs with Unique Perfect Matchings and Reciprocal Eigenvalue Properties.

Currently, he is a faculty at IIT Kharagpur, India.

Rakesh Jana, Ph.D. 2022, IIT Guwahati, Thesis: On the bipartite distance matrix and the bipartite Laplacian matrix.

Currently, he is a postdoc at IIT Bombay.
