Technology Transfer
Pilot Project on
Plain Muga Silk Fabric
RuTAG-NE will assist
in setting up of a pilot centre of making plain Muga Silk Fabric at
Amingaon in the vicinity of IIT Guwahati. The mechanized system of
making plain Muga Silk Fabric was innovated by Mr Dulal Choudhury. The
Project is promoted by His Excellency the Governor of Assam, Lt General
(Retd) Mr Ajai Singh & funded by NEDFi. The shed of the Pilot centre is
provided by Industries Deptt, Assam. Marketing aspect of the produce
will be taken care of by Handloom & Textiles Deptt and Sericulture Deptt,
Assam.

Setting up of Training
cum Production Unit of Cost-effective Sanitary Napkin
 A
pilot project on cost-effective Sanitary
Napkin is in operation in Shanti Sadhana Ashram through RuTAG-NE. The
proposal was approved and sanctioned by the office of the Principal
Scientific Adviser. So, one training cum production Unit of
cost-effective sanitary napkin has been set up at Shanti Sadhana Ashram,
Guwahati

Pilot Project on
Gravity Based Ropeway System
The effort for
technology transfer of Gravity Ropeway System is going on for adoption
in the eight North-Eastern states. The technology has been developed by
RuTAG-Uttarakhand for transportation of vegetables and various food
items in the hilly areas
