Research Interest

The main focus is on supramolecular chemistry for novel optical, electrical and magnetic material design with equal emphasis on organic and inorganic chemistry. Effort to understand nucleation process of solid state structures, which has multiple symmetry non-equivalent molecules in unit cell. Other interests include study of properties of pigments to understand coloration in flowers, design of three state indicators from supramolecular interactions and study of heat sensing by bio-related molecules. Supported catalysis, auto-catalysis and green chemistry are some more topics of interest.
