3rd International Conference on Advanced
Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (ICANN-2013) is being
organized by Centre for Nanotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG),
India during Dec 1-3, 2013. This is going to be another major
international conference being held in the North-Eastern region of
India, in the area of Nanoscience and Nanotechnolgy. The international
conference intends to bring the eminent scientists, technologists and
young researchers from several disciplines across the globe together to
provide a common platform for discussing their achievements and newer
directions of research. The ICANN-2013 conference is focused on
Advanced Nanomaterials for nanoengineering and recent advances in
nanotechnology, covering fields from theory and experiment to
applications of nanostructured materials in technology. The scientific
program will consist of plenary sessions, invited talks, oral and
poster presentations.

Guwahati is situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra and at an altitude of 55 meters above sea level. It experiences a subtropical humid climate. The weather here is not extreme and the average temperature ranges between 19 C and 28 C during the year.
It experiences the winter season during the months of November to February and the average temperature during this time ranges between 10 C - 20 C. The days are sunny
and the mornings are misty. The evenings and the night often get chilly and the coolest month is usually January.
