Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum
received the BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, in 2000 and PhD degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore,
in 2005. From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a Software Engineer with the Mphasis, Pune. Following his PhD thesis submission in 2004, he did his postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore,
from late 2004 to early 2005, and Pennsylvania State University, USA,
for a further two months in mid 2005. He then joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati as a faculty member later in 2005, where he is a Full Professor, since January 2017.
His research areas are in the analysis and design of printed antennas/arrays, synthesis and design of passive microstrip circuits/devices, and spatial modulation-based MIMO/optical wireless communications. He has authored or co-authored three books and over 100 international journal and conference papers in the areas of his research interests.
Prof. Kshetrimayum is on the editorial board of multiple international journals, and is Associate Editor of the IET Journal of Engineering
and Editor of the AEU International Journal of Electronics and Communications
. In addition, he has served on the committees of several IEEE conferences in various capacities like TPC Chair (Communications track) of the NCC 2016 and TPC Co-chair of the IEEE AEMC 2015. He is the recipient of several awards including the IETE Journal of Research
's Best Research-Oriented Paper Award 2017 and IEEE ANTS 2017 Best Paper Award (Third Prize). He is a Fellow of the IET, UK, and Senior Member of the IEEE, USA.
