Rakhesh Singh Kshetrimayum
(S’01–M’05–SM’14) received the PhD degree from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore,
and BTech degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India.
Since 2005, he has been a faculty member with the department of EEE, IIT Guwahati and is the present Head of Career Development Centre. He did postdoctoral research at the department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore,
from 2004 to 2005, and the department of EE, Pennsylvania State University, USA,
in 2005. From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a Trainee Software Engineer with the Mphasis, Pune. His research interests are in the broad areas of printed antennas, passive microwave devices and MIMO wireless communications.
Prof. Kshetrimayum is on the editorial board of multiple international journals, and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Engineering (IET)
. In addition, he has served on the committees of several IEEE conferences in various capacities like TPC Chair (Communications track) of the National Conference on Communications (NCC)
2016. He is the recipient of several awards including the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (IEEE ANTS)
2017 Best Paper Award (Third Prize). He is a Fellow of the IET, UK, and Life Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IETE), Institution of Engineers (India), Antennas Test and Measurement Society of India and Optical Society of India.
