Significance of excitation source information and objective measures for expressive speech processing

The objective of this work is to demonstrate the level of expressive information present in the excitation source component of speech. Speech signals of different expressions are processed by the Linear Prediction (LP) analysis to extract the LP residuals and LP Coefficients (LPCs) of neutral expression speech . The synthesized speech signals sound more like from target expression. This is also confirmed by the waveforms, spectrograms, comparison with vocal tract information, subjective and also objective measures. The intra and inter expressive objective measures are also proposed in this work
