IITG Entrepreneurship summit-2009 (march 14th & 15th)
The student community in the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati are setting the stage for their first ever annual E-Summit, the IITG Entrepreneurial Summit (IES) '09, a two day event to be held on the 14th & 15th of March. The event, which boasts participation from leading entrepreneurial luminaries across the country, is being organized by the Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC) of IIT Guwahati to “instill and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the IITG community and the youth of North East.” Partnering the event is TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), a leading internaltional not-for-profit organization promoting entrepreneurship, as the official knowledge partner.
The event promises to be an educative and enthralling experience to all young minds hoping to capitalise on India's booming entrepreneurial environment. Many delegates and leading visionaries from almost all walks spanning the entrepreneurial world shall be coming together in this knowledge consortium. These invited guests would interact with the audience through talks, workshops and panel discussions. The summit aims at showcasing the current trends in business and entrepreneurship to enlighten the young minds of the nation. Through interaction with some of the leading practitioners in the field, the organizers hope to present the elixir of business and entrepreneurship behind the forces that move the world, to the aspiring and young entrepreneurs of the region. The various panels will discuss upon topics such as – ‘Entrepreneurship Today – The journey, the ambitions!’, ‘Inspirational story’, ‘Innovating your way to glory’, ‘The different facets of Indian Business’, ‘the boy-next-door story’, ‘Leadership and Development’, ‘Innovation and Intellectual Property in Technopreneurship’, ‘Changing India! (Social Entrepreneurship)’, ‘All about Business – Startup and Road to globalization’, and even a talk by a TiE representative.
Consequently, the Entrepreneurial Development Cell of IIT Guwahati has extended an open invitation to corporates from diverse fields, budding entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to start-up to come and attend the two day conference series, interact with the panelists, build local networks, be a part of the networking lunch and snack sessions – all with just a minimal (cost covering) registration fee (not required, delete).
