Overview

The research program in Design at DoD –IITG aims at training researchers in Design not only to consolidate what is known in design but also to build a design knowledge base through original inquiry, experimentation and investigation.

DoD is open to new and emerging areas in Design that fall in the triadic cusp of Science, Engineering and the Arts.Research and sponsored projects are the integral part of the department where faculties conduct research experimentation and projects in several areas such as product design, industrial design, transportation design, sustainability, ergonomics, usability engineering, interaction design, graphic design, film and video and many more.

Possibilities to pursue research in collaboration with other Engineering and Social Sciences departments in IITG also exist. Interested scholars are invited to get in touch through email with the Faculty at DoD-IITG to explore possibilities.
