Established Inter Disciplinary approach to traditionally art & craft bound "Industrial design" in DoD by gradually including Information Technology & engineering component into the pre 2004 Art & Craft dominated curriculum there by blending Design activity into Design & Technology curriculum.
Networked using professional industry contacts with Research labs and institutions in Europe to establish a strong foundation for DoD, UG IITG student Internships. As a result over 50 students have visited Europe as interns & established a network of internship in the emerging areas of Interaction - Usability Cross culture Design in HCI etc. Networked with IT industry to seek placements for DoD UG & PG Design graduates. Have contributed to placing over 100 B.Des / M.Des students (which constitutes 90% of the total degrees awarded to date.) in the IT industry.

Exchange visits of PhD research scholar was funded under this project. This project has supported over 25 BTPs in Graphic User Interfaces, Usability and Cognitive Ergonomics, Design Innovation in Interactive and tangible Systems. EVALUATION BY STUDENTS AS TEACHER & SUPERVISOR AT IITG
90 % of all B.Des Graduates (from 2003 to 2012) and 40 percent of M.Des post Graduates who have passed out of the Department f Design since the past 10 years have voluntarily opted for Prof. Pradeep Yammiyavar as their preferred Thesis Guide. A total of over 100 IIT UG & PG Thesis have been executed under supervision from 2002 to date. Student feedback for the past 10 years has rated teaching and interpersonal relationship in the class room consistently at high levels across all courses.

Over 20 short term industry sponsored training programs were planned & conducted for Industrial personnel in all areas of Design. Also trained over 100 engineering college faculties in induction programs to dissimilate and propagate Design in engineering colleges.
