About IRISS 2009

The 7th Annual Inter Research Institute Student Seminar will be held at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. IRISS provides a forum to the budding researchers in India for presenting, discussing and debating new and innovative ideas in Computer Science and Engineering. The goal of this two-day event is to bring together PhD/MS students and researchers working in areas related to Computer Science and Engineering from premier Indian research institutes.

The participating institutes include Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Indian Institutes of Technology at Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mumbai, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan, Roorkee; Chennai Mathematical Institute; The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai; International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad; Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata; Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Each institute will nominate one faculty coordinator for overseeing the participation and travel of the students from that institute. The faculty coordinator is also responsible for nominating two PhD/MS students in Computer Science and Engineering who will present their work in the meeting. Due to shortage of time we can allow only two students from each of the aforementioned institutes.
