Working Principle:  NMR spectrometer consists basically of a magnet, RF (radio-frequency) transmitter or oscillator, and a suitable RF detector. When a sample of a material comprised of atoms having nuclei with certain magnetic properties is placed in the magnet pole gap and subjected to the radio-frequency field of the oscillator, absorption of radio-frequency energy(reso- nance) occurs at particular combinations of the oscillator frequency and the magnetic field strength and an radio-frequency signal is picked up by the detector.Fourier analysis of the complex output produces the actual spectrum.The pulse is repeated as many times as necessary to allow the signals to be identified from the background noise.
