International Symposium on Plant Biotechnology for Crop Improvement (ISPBCI) will bring together the leading plant biologists to discuss advances in plant molecular biology research, applications to agriculture, metabolic and molecular processes to cope with environmental stress, and plant immunity to pathogens. ISPBCI to be hosted by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, will provide an excellent opportunity for participants around the world to share the latest global progress of crop science research and build multilateral partnerships for translational crop research. Young researchers and students will get opportunity to exchange ideas with the peers in their field. The symposium will cover the following research themes (Symposium Flyer PDF):

  • Molecular Plant Signaling
  • Applied Plant Molecular Physiology
  • Plant Nutrition
  • Genomics-, Proteomics- and Metabolomics-Assisted Plant Improvement
  • Biotic Stress Tolerance and Plant Immunity

The presented papers will be encouraged for submission to "Physiology and Molecular Biology of Plant", an International Journal of Functional Plant Biology published by Springer (as per the publication terms and conditions of the Journal) in its special issue "Emerging Technologies in Crop Improvement".
