About Symposium

The first national symposium on retransforming Bharatiya Education, Science and Technology (BEST 2018): Uttar-Purva Bharat - A Mystic region of the paradise is being organized during 24 March - 25 March 2018 jointly by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati and Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in association with Gauhati University, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal and Research for Resurgence Foundation. We expect about 400 participants from academia, industries and organizations involved in education for masses. A large number of student delegates is also expected to participate in this event. This symposium is the inaugural biennial PAN-India event to enhance and enrich young minds to get involved in more and more value added research as per the need of our country and to preserve and inculcate our traditions, art and culture. BEST 2018 is the inaugural symposium being held first time in Bharat to address various issues related with the country, to study these problems and finding solutions of these problems through Bharatiya Education, Science and Technology. This symposium is targeted to be held once in every two years across the country. In true sense, BEST 2018 is a focused event encompassing themes related to various disciplines of languages, art, culture, traditional science and technology. The objective of the symposium is to bring academicians, research scholars, students, industries and government on a common platform to share new ideas, experiences, and knowledge for research for resurgence. The program will consist of peer-reviewed paper presentations in parallel technical sessions. In addition, keynote lectures, presentations by government and industry professionals, panel discussions, workshops and poster presentation will be conducted during the symposium. Such interactions will facilitate better understanding about developments all across the country amongst the peers which is required to boost progress in many verticals. This symposium will certainly ignite the minds for undertaking more interdisciplinary collaborative work not only for the upgradation of life and social needs but also the ways to make our country world power once again.
