Syllabus:

Tests on cement: Specific Gravity, standard consistency, setting time, soundness, fineness, compressive strength, Tests on fine and coarse aggregate: Sieve analysis, specific gravity, water absorption, bulk density, bulking of sand, Tests for workability of concrete: Slump, compacting factor, Vee Bee consistometer, Tests on hardened concrete: Compressive strength test, modulus of rupture test, Non Destructive techniques: Rebound hammer, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity test, Testing of bricks: Water absorption, efflorescence, compressive strength, Testing of steel reinforcement bar in tension.
